DAY 6

One of those "stuff" days that is impossible to avoid, however hard we all try. Problems included a strange red and green ghosting on the NTSC Warfield footage from 1996 which will hopefully find its way onto the THRAK boxed set this year. Coincidentally, in checking Pat Mastelotto’s recent interview, I read an online review comparing THRAK unfavourably with DISCIPLINE. The boxed set may cause a rethink. The "Making of" and "Thrakattak II" discs are worth the price of entry, even before we discuss the stunning reinvention of the album in surround sound and stereo. And they were an exceptional live band - for a band with only two drummers

But we don’t want to discuss that! What of the future, which (as Robert reminded me in an email) is only 358 days away.Not long.

Trusting in the synchronicity of his email enquiring about the (non-existent) management position at DGM - I Skyped with a DGM-ite from New York (who needs to remain tactfully nameless) to see if he may have a role in helping DGM to "world link". Anyone else offering to fulfil roles that we haven’t yet advertised, and can probably not afford, should get in touch.

Inside the office, I have determined to stop being "cursed by coincidence" - ie. doing jobs that I shouldn’t do simply because I know how to do them. I have taken out a subscription with Lynda.com so that online training videos can fill the void.
